I supported Pat
Here's why . . .
"I am pleased to support Pat Warren as a candidate for council in Ward 2 in the City of Kawartha Lakes. I have known Pat for many years. I have admired her dedication to our community by taking an active part in several community organizations with a special emphasis on the environment. I believe that if elected she will keep the best interests of this Ward in the forefront in Council decisions."

"Our long time friend Pat Warren is running for City of Kawartha Lakes council. I recommend Pat as I have worked with Pat prior to the 2000 amalgamation. Pat was a councillor with Township of Verulam and I was a councillor with Bobcaygeon. Verulam and Bobcaygeon had amalgamated on our own to look for efficiencies and it was working. I know Pat to be hard working and diligent so I recommend her to any of my friends living in ward 2! Good luck Pat, I know you will do well."

"I have known Pat Warren for ten years now. I moved to Bobcaygeon in 2010. Since that time, I have followed municipal politics and have spent time with Pat on various committees, getting to know her view on what is important to create and maintain an attractive, healthy, vibrant community. She has experience on City Council, and has been a driver behind many quality initiatives within the city. A Councillor's job is sometimes a difficult one, and I know that Pat Warren has the skills and energy for the job."

"Pat Warren is the right choice for our next councillor to represent Ward 2. Not only is she hardworking and reliable, she's smart, articulate, and thoughtful. Her commitment to service and leadership is indisputable and for the long-term — she is a proven steadfast pillar of our community. I trust Pat to act on our behalf."

Here's why . . .
“I have known Pat for years first at her place of business and, during the last 7 years, through working with her on several volunteer projects. I find Pat to be a careful and reasoned thinker who considers all angles when facing an issue or problem. It is important to Pat that everyone at the table has a voice and has the opportunity to express their views. Pat’s willingness to examine the issues, coupled with her open-minded approach, helps ensure that projects and final decisions take the wider view into consideration. Pat is flexible in her thinking, always willing to consider all sides of the equation. I find Pat to be honest and insightful. Pat follows through on her commitments and can be trusted to get a job done.
Although I live just outside Pat’s ward, and can’t vote for Pat myself, I would encourage Bobcaygeon residents of Ward 2 to vote for Pat to help steer us through the next term of council. I am confident that she will not only represent Ward 2 well but that the entirety of the City of Kawartha Lakes will benefit from seating Pat on the next Council."

"I’ve had the honour of knowing Pat for several years both as a friend and advocate with environmental concerns. She has great commitment and values and is a woman of her word. She stands up for what she believes in and goes to great lengths to help, advise and put you in touch with those who can help you with your questions or concerns. I strongly recommend those in her Ward to vote for her. You would not be disappointed. What you see is what you get."

"LET'S ELECT PAT WARREN
This is to offer my enthusiastic endorsement of Pat Warren for City Council.
She is a good person, a thoughtful listener, a caring neighbour, a hard worker, a business booster and a clear-eyed environmentalist with the skill, determination and experience to make Bobcaygeon an even better place to live, work, visit and shop.
Pat was instrumental in a number of Environmental Action Bobcaygeon (EAB) projects that benefit both the environment and our community. They include:
-
Initiating the very successful Bobcaygeon Farmers Market
-
Building well-used community gardens on the properties of Trinity United Church and Kawartha Settlers' Village
-
Partnering with the City to build Wilderness Park... a beautiful little 8 acre park with hiking trails, nature intrpretation signs and a large bee pollinator patch, and
-
Developing a safe and scenic network of walking and cycling routes for Bobcaygeon. This is a large, multi-year work-in-progress.
There are a lot more projects that EAB has planned for Bobcaygeon. And, there's a lot more that Pat Warren wants to do for Bobcaygeon. Let's elect her!"
